I've got trouble installing HDHfr...

The trouble is:
1) I've got SPWAW 8.1 running on my computer.
2) I install H2Hfr.
3) Then, when I run the game clicking in mech.exe, this message appears: "Can't found vid998.smk. Aborting..."
4) And the game turns off.

Well, I do not play h2h but I think you are scr**ed. This vid file was necessary in versions 7.1 and before, it had the intro stuff including SSI's copyright notes and such. In 8.xx this file is removed (in its place is now the file spwaw.avi).
As h2h is done with 7.1 and the need for the file is coded in...
What you'd need is an older version of the game and get the file from it. Then just place it into snd\stream folder. Or, keep your 8.01 (soon to be 8.2) separate and install that h2h over the old version of the game. It is a very large file, 60 megs or so if memory serves which means emailing or posting it isn't really an option.

Finnish site, but it is not hard to find spwaw related files.

Or, you might just ignore h2h for now and see how the 8.2 works out.

Maciste, you're not scr*wed at all.

1)Go into the main SP:WaW folder
2)Find the file "spwaw.avi"
3)copy it and move it to the SND/stream folder
4)rename "spwaw.avi" to "vid998.smk"
5)start the game. [:)]

Thanks Bel, didn't know it was the 'same' file. But then, I do not care about h2h thus don't really follow it's workings/needs.
