Where we stand on 7.0

Post by Paul Vebber »

We have been busily at work getting ver 7 ready, and ran into a couple stubborn bugs that have proven difficut to squash. We are taking a little extra time to make sure we get them. We seem to have killed the YUGO bug, and a few others that have been reported. We originally wanted to get the DL version out by this past weekend, but obviously missed that. We are about 2 weeks behind where we wanted to be, so sit tight...ver 7 is comming, and barring any new problems should be available in 2 weeks.

If you would like to test it, I will send it out on a limited basis to the first few who email me.

When it is ready, the master LV disk will be sent out and shipping should start by the end of the month. Again our estimates are just that...

Can we assume that Lost Victories will be released with the latest and greatest of version 7? Not a problem, it'll be worth the wait and I'm still slugging it out in the desert anyway!!

Paul by all means take the time to do it right, I already consider my MCLV money to be well spent and well worth the wait

Also, any more word on whether MCLV will come with v7 OOBs? It would be nice to have the latest and greatest on the disc

Before I discovered Matrix and SP:WaW, I had no idea how good a game such as this could be on a PC! IMHO, the product and support quality that Matrix provides is nothing short of outstanding! If it takes a bit longer to get things right, I'm willing to wait. So far Matrix's product has exeeded all my expectations. Keep up the great work! I can't wait to order the MC #3, and any that follow it.

I crash bug that arose from shooting at barges or other naval craft. Since there are numerous river crossings in Lost Victories and Watchtower obviously has lots of naval action, it is something that must be fixed.

So far so good...needs some more testing though.

So far still no crashes reported! THis was one of the toughest bugs to root out we've had yet! NONE of the core playtesters could reproduce it! It was random and infrequent, bt frequent enough to require stompage...13Z was also instrumental in its demise Thanks John!! The hardest bugs bugs to eliminate are those that you can't reliably reproduce and only affect some people EVER! BUt looks like we got it!

Those who I sent the patch to - please report in so we get an idea how much its been played!

Should help with some other cases of potential crash to desktop besides barges and naval units.

Kudos to Tom Proudfoot for rooting this one out!!!

IF the playtesters find no more crash bugs, this week, we can hopefully wrap up Ver 7 this weekend for release next week.

Will keep yopu posted!

Sounds like when you take your car to the mechanic because it acts strange, and the only time it won't act strange is when the mechanic is present.

you may want to go and check out here:

It should be the case Matrix has decided in the meantime to add new features, but that's the most updated news I'm aware of.
