A/C upgrades/replacements

Post by Wannabe »

Scenario 16-- Anyone know of a list anywhere that identifies when and how many A/C I can expect in the future? I am doing alright here in the beginning of August, but have lost 32 B-17s in attempting to suppress Rabual (I DID manage to retake Tulagi and Henderson), and want to know if I will ever recover. Also, I disbanded some small B-17 squadrons to make bigger ones with better leadership. I found I have 32 Liberators, but none of my squadrons will upgrade. Is this because I have disbanded some of the squadrons?

Back to my original question-- when will I get enough (or any) P-38s/Corsairs/B-25Js? (Also want to know about others, but I prioritize.)

Any and all appreciated.
We sure liberated the hell outta this place.

There's a good website with this sort of info at:

http://uncommon-valor.chez.tiscali.fr/

Check the links for Files/Scenarios, there's a set of files on that page for aircraft "monthly replacement rates" for both sides. The short answer is that you'll start getting P-38's on October 1, Corsairs on February 1, 1943, and B-25J's on December 1, 1942. And yes, you'll soon have plenty of them.

Edit: Oh, also have a look at the "aircraft upgrade paths" file in your program's start group. B-17s eventually upgrade to the B-24J, but you don't start getting that model until September of 43.
