LOL. A little busy at the moment, planning our trip to Origins. Hope to post something of substance after that.

Recently saw an add in The Armchair General for Gods of War, the apparent follow up to HTTR. Any info?

My favorite part, cant wait!
New Campaign Mode: Fight a series of scenarios where the outcome of each scenario affects the subsequent path of the campaign and the forces involved. Choose which forces to use in each engagement, including the ability to place units in reserve for rest and refit or commit them from the reserve for action.

-edit-

Can you guys expand on what the fuction of "new exit tasks" is? Im assuming it just means you can move a unit off the map and save it...sort of like in Close Combat 3?

Hi, I've just been reading Steven Ambrose's D-Day book (trying to bide the time till a different Matrix game comes out). And of course that makes me want to see a game on the Airborne's battles in Normandy.

In general, I wouldn't mind a bit if this wonderful game system moved a bit away from the Airborne's battles. But that seems like an awfully nice setup for a game.

And don't know if its worth an entire game, but the German airborne's activities at Eban Emael (that fort in Belgium since my spelling is bad) in 1940.

Actually, some France 1940 scenarios might make a good game /expansion pack. While the strategic level sims of that game make for some boring play, there were some interesting battles that might be very nicely simulated by this games system. The initial attacks, crossing the Meuse, Allied armor trying to counter attack, delaying actions at Dunkirk, the breakthrough battles of the second phase of the offensive (where it took the Germans several days to break the line, and not where they planned).

Anyways, the really nice thing is that whichever way you guys go, its bound to be a very nice game. Can't Wait!

The breakthrough of the German army through Belgium is worth a good scenario.
I understood that with the 1940 estabs coming with CoTA, it wouldn't be so hard to make.
But I still have to gather lots of info I'm afraid...

BTW: this is
Eben-Emael

Any plans to make HTTR available via Digital Download? DD much better for implusive buyers! I'd own this game if it were available via DD. Don't know why I don't order the physical copy of the game, but I always mange to talk myself out of doing so. Hence the question: Any plans to make HTTR available via Digital Download?
