Ugh... sorry to hear about the eye.
Saw you play panzer campaigns. Provided we have the same one, maybe we can start up a game. Nothing like a little pbem combat to focus the tensions on something besides one's life problems/issues etc.
Hopefully you'll land the new job, see an eye specialist that predicts he can help you, and actually have sex with the wife more than once a month! [;)][:'(]
I'm just completing the training phase in the PCC. I have Tobruk '41, El Alamain '42, Sicily '43, Kursk '43, Normandy '44, Market Garden '44, and Bulge '44. I might buy more of the Eastern Frint titles but most of them semm like WWI style 'grinders'. My next purchase target is Matrix's Highway To The Reich.
After spending most of the last 30 yrs gaming WWII on the ASL scale, The PCC/HTTR scale is taking time to adjust to.

We have some similar titles...
I have T41 (really good now with volcano man's 'upgrade'), kharkov 42, kursk 43, and smolensk 41. I've got MG 44, rezhev 42, and korusn 44 along with campaign 1776 and napoleons russian campaign coming to me in the mail. Hopefully will arrive tuesday or wednesday. HPS has a 5 for the price of 3 deal so I took advantage of it.
Moving up a scale does take getting used to, but good fun.
HTTR is a good one. What about WitP? Figured you'd be getting that one since if I remember right, you have UV.

No, thank you. I won't join a board where one of the forum mods/hosts (not you) won't even address me by name and instead bastardizes it in a fashion very personally insulting to me. Besides, I feel the final downfall of the AoW forum was, in part, orchestrated by some of the very mods/hosts/adminstrators "emeritus" at the new location.
I'm sorry if I seem bitter, but I was just rendered blind in my left eye by an embolism in my retinal artery on Monday morning, last. Plus diagnosed with hypertension. All just two friggin' days before a pre-employemt physical for a new job.
I logged on here last night for a little 'theraputic banter' and I find the AoW forum gone. I'm pretty p1ssed off about it.
My apologies to Mr Heath, et al. for my outburst. I'll stick here, though. I have some loyalty.
Hey Chris heal up soon....
regards,
sven
Thank you, sven. That means a lot coming from you.
But, the doc says its permanent. It was like a friggin light switch. One second everything's clear, the next second I can't see through my left eye. Now they're runnning tests on my eyes, my heart, and my corroted arteries to assess the threat level.
regards,
Chris
I hope you get better anyway. All the best!

I have UV and will most likely buy WitP when it releases as UV continues to 'lock up' my PC on a regular basis. HTTR is out now, though. I woukld like to give RTS on that scale a try.

He only posted it on some websites, but it's available anytime. Think it just started this year.

As for the AOW I was a little suprised I just came back from a few weeks off, first time back on the computer and its gone.
Sad stuff on two counts.

No one person or group of people was responsible. AoW ran its course along time ago at Matrix... I am surprised and appreciate the tolerance Matrix showed.ORIGINAL: Chris Trog
