EiA Scenarios

Only a litlle question...

The game will only begin with the scenarios of 1805-1815 or with more scenarios.

If it is not this way, in a future have you planned to introduce the official scenarios of 1792, Frederick the Great and 1740-1748? [&:]

I'm guessing those suggestions will be in an expansion pack, if the game sells well enough.

Hoche, is not working your link....

I can not suggest any because I never played anyone different than the Great Campaing.

But there are many in the original rulebook and many other playtested.

I will like if the could be an option to play with Poland, Sweden and US, but maybe is too much ???

In that case I will gladly wait for expansions [:'(]

Sweden and Poland would be a great challenge. I hope they make it as an "option" at some point. Never played/thought about the US.

The invasion of Spain. That is one of my favorite scenarios to play.

There are as scenarios the Scenario of 1792, which I have played (and mastered) some games, well balanced, and with very opened diplomatic possitions

The 1740 Austrian Sucession war), very amusing and varied, because apart from the habitual objectives, there are a second one, the fight for the imperial crown. I have played that game and it is very good, although there is some thing that to improve.

The scenario of Frederick the Great (1756) this well, but has a very fixed diplomatic positions at the beginning of the game, and doesn't have a lot of alteration possibility. Very good for board players, not for diplomatic players.

There is a scenario of 1796, it is not bad, but has the disadvantages of that of 1756 and not so much the virtues, it is about the rising of Napoleon as leader, for that it is better that of 1792

There is also one that covers the Spanish Succession War, with good base but little elaborated.
The three first scenarios are official and well tested.

If somebody wants some, I can be sent by mail, I have all them [;)]

I think the same, Sweden and Poland (in the scenarios previous to 1805) they are good rookies in this game, but they have these problems

Sweden unbalanced a lot (although in to realistic way), the question is find some good rules for Sweden. I have seen some, even official, but it's not well finnished. Very unbalancing for Russia and, especially, for Great Britain, but I would like one to have as option.

With Poland it passes the same thing, there are many rules (with many Feudal Corps), but I have not seen something really good. The official ones are very simple, to Russia Poland lasts him a couple of minutes, and as small power nobody wants it. There is also that new balance for the game

I would like a lot to play with both Major Power, but I believe that it will take a long time a little in being able to make it

Yes, Sweden and Poland have their problems, but I think it can be upgraded taking a bit of time, playtesting, etc.

This comes to the MAIN question about the game: Do you want to play a game or do you want to play a realistic game?

So, I will try to implement them as an option, anyway, if one player is killed by Russia after 5 months of game is not a big deal in a pbem game.

And If they play well, these little countries in the game, their diplomacy they can last long and do lots of things and influence the game balance.

Its like Spain and Turky, by themself they are nothing, but if they are allies of FR or GB they can do a lot.

And yes, there were "official" rules in the General magazine about this countries that I find very interesting for a "realistic" game.

It is just my point of view.
Regards.

As a game, it should be released with emphasis on play balance so anyone could win. At least that's my vote. More realistic scenarios or game options could be provided for historical accuracy.

Question: will EiA have a scenario editor to allow players to customize things or create new/alternate campaigns?

I think like you: jugable or realistic?. Perhaps both things

I've played with Sweden and achieve a huge success, because he's necessary to other major Powers for the balance. Russia against Great Britain, Great Britain against France and Russia...
And the Dannish picnic habitual for great Britain it´s not so easy, for example [:-]

Polish king has more troubles: Prussia, Austria and Russia don´t want this alliance, they prefer to be distributed the pieces.

The problem of its weakness is relative. Prussia doesn't stand a solid alliance against her (it imagines France, Russia and Austria against Prussia), neither Great Britain, they have to make be worth its utility in front of the other major Powers. Is the question of the Balance. Neither France survives the rest of powers coalition, perhaps only can maybe Russia. And Spain is a terrible power to be invaded, you need too many troops to maintain the control of something of scarce interest. Many problems for a little benefit.

In summary: any country, well directed, with a good system of alliances and diplomacy and knowing how to sell their importance to other powers can subsist, because the other players is concerned of the same thing and they know that if they are only devoted to break and collapse this small power, they can meet with a good shock. For itself, alone, nobody can achieve the Victory, neither France.

Oh, that's an easy one.

1789-1821 as a sort of Grander campaign. It would be broad in scope.

It would cover 'The French Revolutionary Wars,' between the rioting in Paris in 1789 (most famously, the storming of the Bastille on July 14th) to the Treaty of Amiens in March 1802. The Wars of the First and Second Coalition took place during this time.

It would also cover the armed conflicts during The Consulate, which began at Brumaire in November 1799 through the Imperial Coronation of December 2nd, 1804

Finally, it would cover all armed conflicts from Napoleon's Coronation to his death on May 5th, 1821. The reason to go beyond 1815 is that as players of this game we may make different choices than what was made and hence have the ability to go longer. We'll need the extra room.

Now, wouldn't that be a full plate? [8D]

My whole reasoning for this suggestion is that since the beginnings of the War of the 'First Coalition,' France and the rest of Europe were destined to be at war, no matter who ruled France.

Earlier periods as suggested would be nice icing on the cake.
