I apologize for the forum reply issue. I just don't have the time. I cannot reply to all the posts BUT I do read them all! I understand your points but please understand that we're working some serious hours getting this thing ready! Ive said a few times before that I'll probably never be able respond to the posts enough to make you (or me) happy BUT I promise I'll keep trying!

I'm not ignoring you! I am listening!

You should know that I'm playing almost 10 different games right now (Me as Russia, Me as Turkey, etc.) just trying to break this thing. development is done. We're testing and debugging. Hang in there!

Thank you

For calqulation purposes...

Le Tondu, those are ALL available troops at the beginning of the war 1805.

Normaly the battle at Austerlitz etc is about

75i 15c 15g (France)
35i 12c (French allies)

45i 10c 8g (Austria)
35i 12c 8g (Prussia)
55i 8c 8g (Russia)

Then the leaders, morale and tactics in the actual battle decides the losses.

Enjoy!

No apologies necessary...the concern wasn't so much about lack of posts or even when the game will be released, just if we are close to a point that some AAR's could be posted...hopefully we'll see a realized vision of this game, like the WaW AAR's, which will help promote the game and sate our appetite for what's to come....

In my (software designer) brain this sounds good...

This means all features are implemented and we are just looking at test-fix-verify cycles for a number of months...

Is this correct?

And I know matrix hates to give us any preliminary release dates... but if I ask like this:
How long before the actual release date does matrix usually announce the release date?
24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not.

Hey guys:

We're only exporting the corps strengths as they are in the EiA game (Along with weather ,terrain, leaders, morale, etc.) I must admit that I'm not too familiar with popular miniature systems BUT took a shot at exporting elements available to me that I thought could be easily adapted to a miniature system. We can look at strength conversions BUT honestly this is a low priority UNTIL we get released!

Let us crawl before we walk!

I've includeed a sample EiA battle file as the game generates it below:

Battle of Elvas
January, 1805

#System field lines (Lines that EiA for PC read) begin with "~"
#Comment lines begin with "#" and are optional

~aa78
~bb0

#Nation IDs. To indicate winner, use ~w and nation's number ident
#Examples:
#~w0 will enable nation 0 (attacker) to win
#~w1 will enable nation 1 (defender) to win
#~w255 will enable a tie

~0Spain
~1France

#Fill winner in below

~w

Terrain : Normal

Weather : Moderate rain/snow mix, Winds calm, Temp 31f to 36f

#Unit info format:
#~uUnitname with Tactical and Strategic numeric values
#~eNumber of guard factors
#~iNumber of infantry factors
#~mNumber of militia factors
#~cNumber of cavalry factors
#~aNumber of artillery factors
#~hNumber of heavy ships
#~lNumber of light ships
#~tNumber of transports
#Change these numbers to reflect new force levels

# Attacker Forces (Spain) Morale 3.15

Enjoy

Thank you
Is this really going to happen, Iam so interested in this feature that me and many people I know will buy this game for that reason, above all, let alone the EIA game which has been our favourite for year and years
Ive have gone to the bother of learning Visual Basic to learn how to do it myself, Ive been waiting that long!!
Please tell me that this IS a feature of Empire at Arms, I hope my tail isnt been twisted here.[&o]

Well I hope it will continue for TOMMORROW, as you have a winner in this feature. This can be adjusted to many Popular RTS games of the period the one I refer is CDV Napoleonic Cossacks instead of minutures, its just a matter of working out the maths for one game to the other, and Ive already done that with the EIA boardgame we are player by email[8D]
