the owner of this computer (not me) has decided to get a new 1

due to screwups by dell, it is being delayed [:(]

but, i am getting my own

it will b scratch built by me and my brother in law

and with the apparently iminent release of WITP, the construction of my super computer is just in time :D

and with John picking out the parts, u need no longer fear my incessant posting about parts [:D]

Marky,I'm curious...EVERYBODY(!)is aware of the problems you had with your "old" computer, and all the problems you have had getting UV to load..Was that a Dell??...Was it a "factory-made" Dell????
I am using a "factory-made" Dell and it is better than the 4 IBM's I have had,and honestly UV is so user friendly to load,it does everything but wash my truck and bring me coffee.....
If it was a Dell, did they offer any help??(BTW,my current CPU costs LESS than the Atari 800 I started with 20 years ago![;)])

Marky,We empathize with ya',(most of us have programs we can't load or use anymore,it happens every time a new OS comes out..
I personally have real issues with Gateway as a whole,in my opinion they sacrificed quality (and personal customers in homes)in order to flood the business/office customer, and put most all other customers in the "later" category..
As I recall, they recently filed bankruptcy(or laid off a bunch of people to avoid it),and are trying real hard now to win back customers IN THE HOME they had neglected..
(IBM did the same thing approx 8 years ago and they too had to file bankruptcy, and I see they too are trying to re-enter the residential market..
I hope they all make it,they just need to quit hiring the adviser that came up with "NEW COKE".Sorry Marky, that might be before your time, ask your brother-in-law about "New Coke"....[;)]
