Stunning Game!

Post by Hiruu »

I just had to start a new thread to thank the designers for their hard work. This game is a thing of beauty. The graphics are great, but it's the mechanics, and attention to detail that really impressed me. I'm really looking forward to online action after mastering the single player game. I'm a big fan of Space Empires, but I was a bit disappointed with the latest game Starfury, but Matrix game has found another winner, since I love Starships Unlimited as well.

Another SE fan eh? Can't wait to see what Aaron has in store next. Yeah, Starshatter is absolutely great...but wouldn't a combination of the two games be incredible? Manage your empire like in SE, and have warships duke it out with real physics like in SS, or fly a fighter like in SS but have the AI randomly generate whole new campaigns like in SE. Best of all, the modding potential would move from 'large' to 'unlimited'.

That was the idea behind SE: Starfury. The next SE V game is supposed to have 3-D combat, based on Starfury. Maybe, Aaron should have leased the starshatter engine and worked on SE V instead.

I'm sure an enterprising coder could do a campaign system that could generate mission DEFs in SS. It's been done in games ranging from Warhammer to Tribes, afterall.[8D]
@TheDeadlyShoe> Unless, say, you could make black holes at will.
@Razeam> I can do that but I don't want to.
