H2H action?

Post by MarkShot »

I was just curious ... how many people are playing HTTR H2H?

One of these days, I will probably take the plunge and play a game H2H. :)

Well you know who to avoid don't you [;)]. Seriously though, take up the option, it will considerably widen your appreciation of the game.

I find that it is hard for me to spend more than 2 hours in front of a computer for one time. I also play rather slow as my playing style involves manual control of stronger units.

When I played Yakstock I usually prefer to play at the slowest setting - gives me thinking time[:)]. I would also add that 2 hours is about the maximum length of time I'd play online at. Offline it's not so bad since I can pause the game for a few minutes in order to eat, drink, 'relieve' myself or whatever.

Can you pause the game in online play? I think I could handle two or three hours of HTTR online -- but I'd need bathroom breaks. :) Also, I do find HTTR tiring. It's a lot of thinking! After a couple hours, I've had my fill.

You can pause just as you would when playing solo as it automatically pauses your opponents game. It's polite to inform your opponent in advance via the in-game 'chat' facility[:)]. Incidentally Grotius if you find HTTR solo tiring, playing H2H can be extremely draining, especially against a tough campaigner like Yakstock[;)]
