Meal of Choice for the first night of WiTP?

Post by The Gnome »

So when you finally get your paws on the game what meal do you plan on having while playing - if you can pry at least 10% of your attention away from the game to chew and swallow that is.

I believe I'm going to go with the old standard: Pizza with mushrooms and sausage... I think I'll go with diet coke for the first night as I won't want any alcohol casuing me to fall asleep early.

Deluxe macaroni in cheese dinner with slices of spiral cut ham added in.

Diet coke on the side.

Deep-dish, stuffed crust Supreme (you only live once) and Sam Adams. As long as you intersperse the beers with a periodic Red Bull you should be able to stay awake

Ha! After 3 heart attacks, I can tell you for a fact that Cardiologists make it up as they go. They really know very little. [:'(]

Pizza (meat lovers) and ice tea. Plus my trusted friend sitting at my side slobbering all over the floor (yes its a dog [:D])

Wife and kids have been away now for over 2 weeks and only a few days left until I leave to join them. Damn I sure hope this comes out today.

Beer (Warsteiner, DAB, or Pilsner Urquell) and pretzels, what else?[;)]

I live about 15 minutes from Hanover PA, the snack food capital of the world. The hard sourdough pretzels hereabouts are uncommonly fresh, and the salt is still on the pretzels rather than in the bottom of the bag....

Hey Sarge!

I plan to have a nice plate of lasanga. It comes right to my door from a delivery place and it still tastes good cold, when I finally get around to hitting the stop button to eat.

but what I want is fried chicken, corn-on-the-cob, blackeyed peas, collard greens, corn bread, and banana pudding. But my wife will probably disagree, and bake the chicken, have brussel sprouts, with a cucumber salad (lo fat) and nothing for desert. Ah, the wonders of modern life. At least it holds the doctors away for a while, and I know she does it because she loves me, or she wouldn't want my raggedy DSDT around. She even puts up with my gaming - as long as I give her the credit card instead of using it myself.

What's wrong with collard greens? Lots of roughage, tastes good.
Much better than broccoli (Which is just a fancy, yuppie green mutant cauliflower if you ask me)

Two of my most favorite topics, wargames and food. Well it's got to be something not too difficult or involved so I can enjoy it at my desk in front of the computer. I'm going with take out pizza. Make it pepperoni, onion, extra cheese. The enjoyment will be worth the disapproving looks I'll get from the wife.

I see in another thread that Matrix is trying for today. Hooray!

Jesus, Frag! Holy Fack! I had one last year at 37 and thats enough early crap for me. Has led to some depression issues for a guy who wore a lanpshade on his head prior to it. I was saving that for my 60s or so. Now I have to aim higher...Parkinsons, Alzheimers, nut cancer... [X(] In the ambulance, they did not even hit the siren or speed. No Rampart/Squad 51 stuff. Felt ripped off as this is supposed to come with the deal. They were asking me friggin admin questions like I had stubbed my toe..."deal with the infarction, then I'll answer your frikken questions, beaurecrat!"

Don't trust the Colonel or that orange haired tart Ronald MacDonald. Lower blood pressure through a moderate diet and exercise. Cut out smoking as best you can. Try not to feel sorry for yourself or you may have difficulty with the aforementioned.

Kick the Colonel in the head, AGAIN![:-]

The game did not come out yesterday St Peter's day (My first name is Pedro so it would have been a nice gift). But I did get a HUGE Porterhouse for dinner from my lovely wife, who is also a trained chef, done very rare, so the day wasn't a waste.[;)]

I make the best lasagna from scratch. Puts restaurants to shame...so expensive to make (about $100 for a large deep pan) that it could not be sold viably. Have not had it since the HA, though...[:(] I used to have bands call to request a booking at my bar just so they can get the free lasagna.[8D]
