Where can I get French Maps for German 1940 Invasion Scenarios?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Where can I get French Maps for German 1940 Invasion Scenarios?

Post by Gallo Rojo »

Greetings all!

Can any one tell me where can I find good summer French maps?
On next weekend I will start to work on a campaign about German’s 1940 invasion (Operation “Sichelschnitt”) but
I don’t have to much maps –map design is the hardest part of scenario design for me.

Campaign will follows the 1st Pz Div from the Ardenas to the Channel. So I need maps from:

Ardenas (summer)
Sedan
Meuse River around Sedan
AA Channel
Dunkerque Area

So if some one could tell me where I can find maps about French-Belgian border I will really appreciate.

Thanks in advance

When you want maps of France, why not go ask the French for them? Have you tried the website:
http://magonline.free.fr/index.htm

They seem to be rabid SPWAW players, and should be able to find maps of the areas you need if they already haven't been done.
thanks, John.

You can buy very good map at

IGN

The maps "série bleue" cover all the France.
The scale is 1cm = 250 meters
You can buy paper or CD version
