40% and coming in at 122k, I could not be more amused :)

Remember guys, this is costing Matrix Games money somehow, those with burners help out the slow guys.

And don't forget Steelers offer.

There is no reason anyone should be unable to enjoy the game.

This Canadian just used the first Gamershell mirror (was in Belgium I think).

Worked fine, about an hour maybe to get it (forgot to time it actually).

Point of note, Gamershell zips their file so they can include a link to them as well as a text file saying you got it from them.
That 425 meg file is actually hiding a 429 meg set up file.

So the actual set up file size is 429 megs apparently.

It installs to a 1.03 gig folder (well that is what mine reads at least).

So keep in mind you need someplace to put a 425 meg download, that unzips a 429 meg set up file, that installs to a 1.03 gig folder, that will be just a basic game (no Mega Campaigns).

The install ran effortlessly on my 800 celeron 256 meg Ram XP Pro using computer with zero hassle whatsoever David.

And this might interest those in the download que, over 300 scenarios are packed into this offering.
I tested out my personal fav Whittmann's Gamble (just one tank makes for a quick amusment).

This has me mucho impressed.

Now off to look into some more indepth analysis.

It was said about H2H and Civil war Mods:
It does include the ModSwapper and we will be making available Panzer Leo new H2H Mod and the Civil War Mod on the Wargamer's Game Depot.

So those two will appear soon I guess (and hope!).

Got it too now, installed fine on my 2.1GHz Celeron with WinXP.

Good work guys! Now back to testing stuff.

New observations.

For those posessing the creation of David heath, that being the Team Edition unified Mega Campaign and 8.0d file, it is possible to take you Mega Campaign folder and simply copy paste it into your install of 8.2.

Or at least it worked when I did it 20 minutes ago.

Mister X, looks like the Mods have to be downloaded from their own sources and then installed into the 8.2 install using the Mod Swapper program. Well that is my assumption at least. I can't find evidence of any of the mods being resident in the core game file.

I cannot believe that I have just moved house and don't currently have a broadband connection... how's that for appalling timing? Sounds fantastic though, and I am extremely jealous of all of you currently D/Ling away[;)]

Install went flawlessly. Copied and pasted DFMC into the proper folders and all appears well with that also.

I did that as well John. Just copied and pasted the entire MC folder to a temp location, deleted 8.0 +8.1, installed 8.2 and pasted MC folder back into the game. No problems with any of the 4 MC's so far.

Download from Gamerhell went smooth and quick.

Uninstalled old version and installed 8.20 flawlessly.

Tried a few quick scenarios. Great game as always and no problems at all!

Thanks once again SPWAW team!

I got around 760k/sec from the Europe mirror, which is around 70% of maxing my bandwidth. Not bad for a mirror. [:)]
