Grown man, crying....

Post by Oznoyng »

Okay, so I am downloading at 300+ KB/sec.

I try it and get to about 30 MB downloaded - and it stops and times out....

I try again, and it will not resume from where it ended, I have to start from scratch...

I load another 30 MB, and it stops again... Grrrrrr.

I try again, and I blow past the 30 MB barrier getting to 120MB... Woot...cept it does it again.

I try again, and....109MB and crap out.

I am sitting at 96.7 on my current try.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to get it to start from where it left off? I am using IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 with 128 bit cipher strength, plus a bunch of update versions. Is there a setting I need to fiddle with?

We're looking into this to see if it's a store issue or specific to certain connections or regions. Which store are you downloading from?

For download resumption, try http://www.getright.com/ or http://www.speedbit.com/DAP7/Default.asp?

Before I got broadband I used download accelerator for all my downloads. Has good resume support. I didn't download this game with it, let me know if it works.

Oznoyng - you should post your problem in the support fourm above.

It sounds like your PC as something else runing that is causing your problem. Disable AOL-messenger, disable other programs that are trying to do any auto_matic updates (Anti-Virus, Windows-Update, mail-programs, pop-up blockers). Is you scheduler runing anything.

What programs are running in your system tray?
