Sorry to insist but:
Is cd on demand have a cover (like any game bought on classic store)? or is this just a burned cd-r?
thank you [:)]

It is the CD in a sleeve, packed carefully to survive shipping without a problem. If you order from the Euro store, it is shipped from Europe, from the US it's shipped from the US, etc. A box-on demand option will be available starting in August.

Greetings Matrix Staff and all the rest,

Do I need to do the DD on the sysytem that I will install the game on? Or can I DD on one system burn the installer to CD and then install the game on another system. I ask for the following reason, at work I am on a dedicated T1 line while at home I have DSL. The T1 will allow a much faster DD and I could then burn the file and install it at home. Do you see or is there any problems/issues with doing it this way? Thaks for all the hard work and for developing a game that guys like us will enjoy for years and years!

Cheers

[8|] Yeah, what he said.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?

If so, why? UV came with that stuff (excluding a printed map).
Normally from me ...possible. This time however I really am trying to justify
why I or anyone would bother waiting till August for a DVD box and great looking cover as your prize for waiting??? No offense Matrix/2x3 but I can just put the downloaded file on a CDRW and put that inside the UV DVD box. The UV cd can
find a nice sleave to live out the remainder of its days. [8|]

That’s my whole freaking point!!!

I’ve been asking this question in different threads and no one from Matrix has directly answered my question about printed materials with the boxed version.

IF the boxed version comes with printed material as UV did, I will hold off. If not, I’ll buy it now.

Why is this concept seem foreign to everyone?

Slick,

Sorry, I haven't been trying to avoid this, must have either missed it or misunderstood it last night. The current plan is that the box will just be a nice DVD case with the WitP cover, etc. No printed materials inside as far as I know. It just provides a better way to store it for those who like boxes.

We have stated various times that all print items for WITP will be on the CD as PDFs. Even with the boxed version.

Thanks!!! Now I know what to do. [:D]

I’m sure that my posts were innocently overlooked given the amount of traffic in the WitP thread.

I knew all the PDF’s would be on the CD, but that wasn’t what I was talking about. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to miss out by not getting the boxed version.

Due to my work schedule, I’ll be lucky to get one or two hours in this whole month. That’s why I can wait until August if need be.

Easiest would be to order from his place, then you can directly download from there. Otherwise, take your invoice with you to his house. Go to our E-Store and click on "help" , there check the "I need help downloading." link. Or go to www.findmyorder.com and enter your order number and password.

Please post if you have been successful with the digital download and provide any tips/tricks!

I have been attempting for two days now, and never get past 80% before DigitalRiver drops the connection. I have a cable connection and will consistantly receive 386KB/SEC until being dropped, and there is no component/process for restart.

Did you try a download client like Getright yet? www.getright.com

From the E-Store "Help" section:

What if the download stops before it is complete?

This site provides downloads that adheres to the HTTP 1.1 specification that allows for re-startable downloads. Therefore, if your download stops or is interrupted before it is complete, simply press the begin download button again and the download should resume where it left off. If you need to get to the re-download page

Dear Marc, Dear Eric,

I would like to play the game as soon as possible, but I would definitely wish to have a box for it with a full cover for my gaming shelf. So my question is:

Could I pay for digital download now (and download the game) and get the box later for a small extra fee (about $10 - 20?)? Or if I buy the digital download now, I have to pay full price to get a box for the game. (no box update possible)?

It may seem strange, but for this high quality game, I wish to have a box on the shelf.

Hey Guys,
how big is WITP in Megs. Is it feasible for those of us with dial-up connections to download it?

She's 466.67 Mb. I live out in the sticks where all I've got is 56k dialup. I used the GetRight (free evaluation software) download manager and gave it a shot. It took 26 hours (average DL rate of 5.3 kb/s), and I had to restart three times because I timed out on my ISP server. It installed fine and runs like a striped-@$$ed ape.

It was a real pain, but I'm glad I didn't wait for my CD to get here two weeks from now.

And I carry on anyhow.

You could visit his house and take your credit card with you.
