It looks beautiful to me on my 21-inch monitor. It would be nice, though, if there were some zoom-out feature other than the strategic map. Or is there already and I just missed it?

Just a follow up. The game looks fine on my 18.1 flat panel moniter with only minor exceptions. Some elements are just a touch blurry. The LCU symbols represented at the bottom of the base screens for one, along with the aircraft symbols. I know to some that the items mentioned represents a minor complaint, but from what I remember from the survey that was given here, there was a preponderance of 1280X1024 screens at the time. So why the lower res without the ability to switch I wonder?

Now back to the Japs demise!

If you have a TFT with a fixed resolution higher than 1024x768, you can try running the game in windowed mode. First make a shortcut directly to the game. Open the preferences to the shortcut and add '-window' in the destination line.

I have XP, and when I created the shortcut, there are target and start in lines. The target lines looks like the destination line, but -window or anything else is rejected. Does it go inside or outside of the quotation marks? Or am I, as I often do, overlooking the obvious?

TIA.

You need to put the '-window' outside the quotation marks in the destination line.

Well since the game res is fixed, if they'd have set it to 1280X1024 anyone with an older computer, like a laptop that didn't do 1280X1024 would be screwed. Now why the developers didn't code the GUI widgets using relative dimensions rather than hard-coded ones, I'll never know.....

I added at the end 'with the ability to switch'.
I was thinking more along the lines of UV, where you at least had two choices. [8|]

Guys,

You don't appear to have answered the second part of VI66's question. The registration function does not appear to work. I get the same results he did. Are there any patches out yet? If so, can we get them without registering?

OBTW, Great game.

Thanks,
Doug

Yea, me too. Hasn't worked for me yet. I figure I'd give it a day or two to clear up.

The answer to that one I think is in the support section. They will announce when its up.

myros, can you explain how to change the font in the game? I didn't know you could do that.

Thanks.

Sorry was tired whe nI wrote the post and didnt say what I actualy did :)

Here's the font I modded for ingame use:

http://www.neuralstudios.com/work/newone.ttf

Right click and save as.

Ok here's the processes:

1. Open your main windows directory and go to the fonts folder.
2. Make a copy of the "times new roman" font and save it somewhere - this font isnt used much anymore but best to save a copy for reverting it back when you want to, or if you dont like the serif one.
3. Copy the font I uploaded into the windows/font folder - your done.

Cheers,
Myros

Thanks, myros. Your font fix works great! Between that and using the -window argument, I now have a non-blurry game screen. Hopefully I won't get anymore headaches. :)
