Not unless you abort the mission. When you end a mission normally - by landing or by saying "I want to end this mission now, and accept the results" - all ships, buildings, mines, satellites, space stations, etc. that were destroyed during your mission are gone from the campaign forever. All partial hull damage to starships is also permanent. Fighter hulls can be repaired between missions though, as long as the fighter itself wasn't completely destroyed.

Thanks John, makes it worth sticking around a little and burning off extra ammo [;)]

AWESOME! I was always leary about taking that extra shot (especially against mines) because I didn't think it would make a difference, so I saved my ammo just in case on the way back. But if it stays again (again, especially the mines) it is worth it.

I don't think mines stay damaged, so if you scratch one up finish it off.

Everything else stays dead/damaged, which you'll really like when you're driving a cruiser around and accumulate a "who's who" kill list of enemy frigates and Destroyers ;)
