Crow is not a tasty dish!!!!!

Post by m10bob »

This past week-end I purchased WITP and was having beaucoup problems downloading from Digital River..After several folks were kind enough to step in and get involved,I am of the conclusion the error was MY browser, and not that of Digital River!!..
Marc suggested I was using too many sections on my 3rd party download device(Netleech),and I am now convinced he was correct,(as usual!!)..Thank you Marc..
I also stopped trying IE and my AOL browser(*MAJOR PROBLEM WITH LARGE DOWNLOADS*),and went to another site and am now using Mozilla to download another HUGE file which I have never been able to get with my other browsers!!
This has been a severe learning experience for me,as I had no idea using a "non-stock" browser could have such a profound difference (to the good!!)..
This morning,DR e-mailed and has already re-set me..Once I finish this current HUGE file,I will be getting WITP..Thank you Matrixgames and fellow forum members..

Glad we have that solved for you.

The problem with to many "segments" (or to be more correct multiple logins per IP) is pretty common with sites that host massive downloads for a big user base.

IE is know as not so savy when it comes to large downloads, it likes to "time out" on them and the resume feature, even in latest IE, is pretty bad [;)].

I, as a long time IE devotee, have switched to Mozilla respectvly Firefox (formerly Firebird) a year ago. I never regret it.
