Scenario Design 101 - #10, was there ever one?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Scenario Design 101 - #10, was there ever one?

Post by robber »

When,

looking through WB's Scenario Design 101 series you get the impression that there will follow a tenth installment. I haven't been able to find it though. Could anyone enligthen me, does or doesn't it exist? If it does exist - where do I find it?

Thanks,

Hang in there. I have it, it was a checklist. I am editing all WB's design posts + player tips (see the separate thread about that) into one HTML document that will be posted for all to easily use and find. I hope to have this out in a week or so. (Depends upon how much time I have to spend checking my boy's homework, etc.)

Old Larry G-2 Holt is doing me a great service by compiling these and editing them, then making them available to the SPWAW community.

I'm grateful to him for the time he has spent on this and apologize for sending the wrong files on occasion.

He is a patient man, too.

Thanks for asking, Robber!

Ah those kids!

Always getting in the way of your importanttasks...

BTW Larry, I have been toying with the idea of converting your Strategy Guide into an eBook, i.e. loadable and readable on a Palm or a PocketPC. This way you could look up and fine tune your current strategy right in the middle of a heated firefight.

I don't know how the SPWaW community stand on this issue - any interest?

If,

I get a go ahead from Larry - sure. They probably need some adjustments to be readable, but it's not that big a problem. I have already done some trial versions of one of the original Steel Panthers straregy guides so it's perfectly doable. As far as making it available to the greater public I can post it on my own feeble SPWaW page (see link below), then if someone else is interested in putting up some server space to mirror this - fine just e-mail me, the address can be found at the bottom of my SPWaW page.

Drive on Robber. I have an updated version nearly ready to go with some graphics, added in C&C, Tactical tutorials, etc. I was just waiting for ver 7 to come out to get more player tips. I have a beta and I have incorporated some stuff relevant to it. I am thinking that perhaps I should release it before 7 then people can be prepared.

Email me and we can work out the details.
