Hi,

What kind of joystick are you using? [&:]

In the meantime, find the file named "key.cfg" in the Starshatter installation directory. Open it with notepad or wordpad and make the following change:

Code: Select all

KEY_JOY_SELECT           =0

Question: Do you have a joystick, and if so, does it work with any other game?

Hello,
Yes I have a joystick, it is a sidewinder force feedback 2 and seems to work fine with other games. I also tried the key.cfg fix to no avail.[:(]

It's strange that it worked fine on first installed, then after re-starting windows it no longer ran.

It could be a virus infection. Try running a full system scan. Another possibility is that unusually stringent Anti-Virus measures messed up something in an installation.

hmmmmm

Another thing to try (probably easier) is to disconnect the joystick.

Did the Joystick work ingame before Starshatter stopped working?

I have found that if I remove the sidewinder pro force feedback 2 from device manager and run the game, all is well, is this something that I can download a patch for, possibly from microsoft? Surely I'm not the only person using this joystick?

I'm pretty sure other people using this joystick have played starshatter.
