Transports not firing at subs on surface

Post by furious »

On several occasions now (playing scenario 15), Dutch and American subs have engaged Japanese transports with their guns, on no occasions have I seen the Japanese return fire. Has anyone witnessed transports making use of their guns against surfaced subs?

Yes I have. Did your actions take place in daylight or at night?

Hello...

Your captains and/or crews failed skill/experience rolls and did not fire. Happens.

Bye...

An emphatic YES...those transports DO fire back...got a couple subs on the way back with damage now as a result. One Dutch boat just about got sunk by an AK.

Not as bad as my low point in UV, when a sub was sunk by a............barge.

I had that happen in UV also. What an embarrassment.[:o]

Hi this stuff is pure gold, why is the computer keeping it to himself!? You guys should throw it onto the combat report! I love seeing how that stuff works and it really helps me get a personal attachment (or in this case disgust) to some units.

Yes, and the barge was probably later defeated by a tissue paper.

Thanks for all of the answers.
I'll keep plugging away at those Jap transports and see if they start shooting back.
