Computer disbands player taskforces??

Post by usecase »

I'm playing #15, as the Allies. I've noticed several times that when creating transport taskforces, (for example, to supply Pearl from SF), the next turn the taskforce has been disbanded, and all ships are back in the pool.

No, I haven't got auto-disband on, and I'm pretty confident that I've given the orders correctly - I'm a long time UV player.

Anyone else seen this?

Cheers,

John

Hmmm. It seems we may be getting a small taste of PacWar, which was forever running off with stuff you needed for another purpose. I had similar problems with a bomb group which was activated in Seattle. I wondered how the zones on computer control would obtain their necessary war materials. Now we know. You probably have to let them have what they want or change to human control.

Check the aircraft's parent HQ when they sit on the west coast. If that parent HQ is in a computer controlled zone it will grab the unit if it can.

There are a number of problems regarding the computer controlled zones that I've noted in a thread down below someplace.

There's also another option within each task force that you setup telling it to auto disband once it reaches homeport after a mission. This is handy in MHO.

Dabo,
Thank youfor this info. I replayed the same turn three times thinking I did something wrong. Turning NE to "Human" fixed the problem of all my AKs disbanding when trying to load supplies in SanFran. Thanks again.
