Thrown out from ship database

I have no doubt WITP will be an "instant classic" just like UV,but we'll have to get over the teething problems..
I very much appreciate the research on this game,(and love the USN Coronado seaplanes!)..
I was looking in the Allied ship database,which took me at least 5 minutes because it is ENORMOUS!!,and when I hit the "back" button it threw me out of the game and back to the "Do ya'wanna play" screen..I was just ready to start a new turn so the CPU had already autosaved my past turn,nothing lost,but I was kicked out..
This game is SUCH a monster,I can envision future versions allowing multi-player assignment based on the different areas!!

I seem to have the same problem; the moment the moment you access the ship database (in game or manually )the game crashes.

Is there any patch available for this problem?

I've had that happen, and I saw another poster that also had the problem. This appears to be a real issue.
