Why hasn't my game even shipped yet??

Post by Sabre21 »

Ok guys

I ordered the game as soon as they became available...I have an order number. I cannot download since I live on a mountain in Idaho and even the best dial up speed I can get is 26 kps. Any downloads I do usually go at about 2-3 kps. To down load a megabyte take anywheres from 20-30 minutes. To download this game takes around 40 hours..and my internet connections are barely stable enough to stay on for an hour.

Since I moved back to this area a few weeks ago..I don't know anyone other than family and neither my brother or sisters family own a computer. They wouldn't know how to turn one on let alone figure out what the internet is. Heck to them..a deep fryar is high tech. C'mon guys..this is redneck Idaho at it's finest...when I asked the phone company about high speed internet the guy just laughed and said I was lucky to have electricity where I was living.

Ok then...so where is my CD at?? I finally got thru to customer support a bit ago and they said it hasn't even shipped yet..that they need to burn a CD first. What gives guys?? Why aren't there any games already in stock?? How long does it take to burn a CD and send it out? On a serious note here...I am very dissapointed in the way Matrix is handling this.

I think David said CD's are shipping within 7-10 days? I would suggest emailing Matrix's customer support address if you feel it's been too long.[:)]

If it makes you feel any better...I was one of the first to DD Witp, even before the CD option was up and running, and i haven't gotten my back-up CD either ( California ). I am in limbo waiting for the patch to fix the CTD concerning the Audigy soundcards, although i can go hours without a crash, i share your pain and frustration.

Same problem here. I ordered the day it came out and another fellow 70 miles from me in the same state got his tuesday. Normally their better than this. But it seems DR has not got there act together. Who knows when they will arrive. But I at least got the DL, but a DL is worthless without cd back up. Maybe we will see ours next week. "and if it doesn't smell right, it probley does stink". My brother was going to order the DL and cd but we are going on a trip in the first week of august, i told him to wait because his cd will be warping in the sun after we leave- because it seems there not moving real fast. What bothers me is that yours has not even been burned yet. "and if it doesn't smell right, it probley does stink".[:@]

That just makes me afraid to call and find out about mine.

I can not take it much longer. I got HTTR 2 days after I ordered it. And that was at release.

Come on DR get it together.

Sabre / 2nd ACR . . . maybe DR has something against tanks and cavalry? I, too, ordered my disk on day one (Washington, DC area) and it hasn't arrived yet. I'll call customer support -- and I'll be mightly disappointed if they haven't even burned the CD yet.

If they have not burned the CD's yet, then I will be alot more than dissappointed.

I could care less about the box, send me the disk. I can download patches if I must,
but 460mb is a bit much for us poor 56kers even with a download manager.

Hi Sabre21

I do not know what idiot you talk to in customer support but I will give them an ear full when I find out.

When you placed an order your CD is made and mailed the same day unless its after 3:00pm. If its after 3:00pm then its the next business day. It can take anywhere from 5 to 10 business days for it to arrive. The more remote your location the longer it takes. Now if you ordered by credit card and your card comes up for a security check it can take longer to approve your order. I am not saying Sabre21 credit card needed a security check it can happen to anyone.

Since I know some customers have already received their CD already I know they are shipping. Once you feel enough time has past please feel free to contact support@matrixgames.com

Thanks David..I knew I should have written the name of the customer service rep down. It took me a couple days to even get thru to them just to hear what he told me. I'll give it another few days before I ask again:) Besides..I'm trying to build a yard out of the wilderness here and don't have much time for gaming, I plan on naming it Fiddlers Green once it's thru..you cav guys know what that means. If it wasn't for this lousy internet connection I would be online more.

By the way..I was air cavalry...flying cobras..not a tread head:)
