Play both the turtorials until you can achieve decisive victories.
Then you will be ready for just about any scenario.

HTTR has arrived[:)]

I also downloaded the strat guide however I need to buy a printer.

The manual looks good so far anyway. Does the strat guide improve on the manual much or is it really a waste of money?

Also I almost forgot what a proper PC game box looked like.

I'm sure you'll find the strat guide useful.

Some of the shorter scenarios are quite good although I'd avoid the 'Advance on Loenen' one if I were you. If you fancy something longer try the 'Arnhem Historical' scenario playing as the Germans. Theoretically, if you stick with what the Germans did in real life you should at least achieve a marginal victory.

wodin,

Welcome to the club of the happy owners of HTTR mate.

As for newbie scenario, anything short (up to 3 days) will do.
Yes, advance on Loenen is a bit harsh, but ... well ... [;)]

I encourage you to try the historical Nijmegen campaign as the allies for a starter on longer games. It is not too difficult, but you need to stay focused.

Maybe it's your last one. [:'(]

IF it wasnt for CL and Guns of August and BiN then it would be.

After that I will have enough games for a life time.

I might even give WiTP a go.

Is anyone modding this game?

Or is the editor very complex?

As mentioned in aprevious thread WW1 scenarios even if slightly abstracted would be great.

Also the scenarios on the Drop Zone website, are they for RDOA only? Or can they be played with HTTR.

I remember that i had no real problems getting in to the editor way back. Had some questions about the mapmaker back then, but there is a nice manual for the editor and mapmaker. Of course if they don't answer your questions there is always this forum [:)]

Working on a map around Venray/Overloon (North of the Peel marshes) ETA still way for out. Got to finish my BftB maps first.

Map looks superb. Im just quite shocked that a game of this quality has only one fansite and no new scenarios. All the ones on Drop Zone are for RDOA.

I just cant understand it at all.

Two possibilities:

1. There are enough scenarios to keep people busy without modding; nice to have the game designers doing the work, instead of putting an unfinished tool box out and waiting for the fans to do all the heavy lifting.

2. There are already games in the works or plans to cover the main airborne ops in Europe, as far as I know from the revealed plans. Who's going to invest time in making something that will be done better in a year or two? I know I'm glad I never started looking too hard for a map of Malta :)
