Feature request

I thought of this many times when playing UV and this came to my mind again when playing WiTP.

A nice feature would be the ability to do a quick save (to the autosave-slot, with CTRL-S perhaps?) without having to access the save game menu. The troube to access the menu keeps me out of saving and I've had to replay turns for tens of hours just because of making a stupido mistake..
