Brining Supplies and Oil Back to Japan

Post by worr »

You should be pulling supplies back to Japan, no?

Where from? And to where? The main port?

My understanding once on the land of Japan, it will spread out where needed.

First off... Yes, you need to pull resources and oil back to japan to the tune of roughly 6000 of each per day - luckily you have enough stockpiled for roughly 190 days - so if you don't have most / all of the bases you need by then, GAME OVER.. As to where to land them it depends on where its coming from, but you want to concentrate in large ports so they can unload faster. Try for Sasebo as its a size 10 port as is Hiroshima I believe. Tokyo is just too far east - save it, Osaka and Nagoya for sending out supplies and fuel to your bases...

Once you dump off the oil / resources in Sasebo and such the rail will move it all over Japan to where its needed... BUT remember not everything is connected to the Home Islands.. You have industry in Formosa you need to fuel... Some on Sakhalin Island thats need oil and resources, not to mention China and Kwangtung - especially Singapore and Manilla (I think) once you take them. You will have industry all over the place and it ALL needs fed to keep the HI points up where you need them to be. Right now I barely have enough HI points to run everythign I have and I still have major expansion to do - just waiting for my current expansion to finish and for more supplies to save up.

I'm a bit confused.

The only things I can ship are fuel and supplies. How do you ship oil and resources?

Shanghai has a ton of fuel to begin with. Should it just be left alone?

Go to a port that has them and you'll see a toggle button on the TF screen in the same column as the load troops, etc. It's "Load Oil/Resources".

Only AK's can carry resources and only TK's can load oil.
I give approximately two fifths of a !#$% at any given time!

Most of the asian ports for Japan have 50,000+ fuel in them and so far they seem to stay pretty full even when you pull a lot away.. SHip it from asia to japan or points south as Truk, Palau, etc.. will need all the fuel you can send them... and probably more...

Just make sure you leave the OIL, or else you will soon need to tanker it back to China again to keep your HI running. Use the fuel leave the oil.

How do you ship oil and resources?

Choose "Load Oil" with an AO, or "Load Resources" with an AK or other supply ship. I'm not sure you can Load Oil on anything other than an AO. Someone said TKs work; do they?

Also, once you've loaded oil or resources, it will appear in the ship's cargo list in ORANGE type under the Fuel heading (if oil) or the Supplies heading (if supplies). If you're shipping oil or resources, be sure to look for that orange type.

Thanks, Murrin. I didn't see that...and have read the rules too! There must be a part of the screen that shows the pile up of oil and resources too. Do these get moved overland at all? I know there is oil produced in China, for example. Maybe that needs to be left alone?

This means any and all resources and oil need to come back to the mainland, as well as China, Formosa etc...where ever there is factory work going on. There is no value in leaving these out in the CPS (Co Prosperity Sphere). Am I right?

Gotcha. Thanks for the advice!

BTW....Is there a screne that shows where oil and resources are piling up? I've seen supply, fuel, factory. Maybe I just need to look again.

Hit your C key then look at the bottom right for two types of Industry reports.
