If you are playing the Japanese keep historical at least early on while getting your "sea" legs for the game. If you are playing the allies, load merchant and flee, wash, rinse, and repeat.

I like Nathan Bedford Forrest's approach:

"Get that the fustest with the mostest"

So anywhere I can do that is where I go [:D][:D]

Seriously, just think logistics man! It's all about resources and oil and getting them or getting into a position to get them.

If anyone's interested, here's a decent site on Forrest, some annoying pop ups though

If you are playing the full-blown campaign game I can see where you find it overwhelming. The Japanese especially have it difficult with so many objectives to pursue. If you are the Allies it is a bit easier. You just take it on the chin. [:D] However, if the Japanese have blown their landing on Wake you can send your at sea carrier groups over to make their lives more miserable. Takes them a few days to steam there tho.
