When can we expect a boxed version?

Post by Veloxi »

Hey there, guys. I'm writing because I'm wondering when we might be able to expect a boxed version of Starshatter. I ask because I prefer a physical CD and printed manual rather than everything being downloaded. Thanks.

I have heard boxed version should be available next month. You can get CD right now. I assume it is in cheaper box. Or do you guys in Matrix print address to CD itself?
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

From somwhere in August on our shop will feature a "Box on demand" feature. Then you will have basically three options to purchase the game:

now:
1. Digital Download only
2. Digital Donwload + CD on demand (labelled CD with software on it)

from August on:
3. Digital Download + Box on demand (labelled CD with software and game box)

2. Digital Donwload + CD on demand (labelled CD with software on it)
So how is CD packed in this option? Is it in some cheap CD-R style box? I sure hope you don't post them with address on the CD itself.

@Razeam> I can do that but I don't want to.

Close to the CD in the CD-R type box.

The CD on demand feature is not designed to be the boxed version; it is merely a hardcopy backup of the digital download for people who don't have a CD burner.

Is the Box gonna be in stores or just on this site?

Also when are we gonna see marketing and reviews for the game?

Review copies have been sent out and marketing started before release. However, we started the promotional effort closer to release than usual because of a number of factors, including the timeline we had from Starshatter coming on board to the release date. Rest assured that you will start seeing ads and reviews soon (some online ads have already appeared).

There are currently no plans for a retail release, we'll keep you posted if that changes.

Regards,
