Why do I not see combat report when my carriers attack?

In a PBEM match and my opponent icq'd me and told me I caught some of his transports by surprise with a carrier strike. I goto watch the combat save and don't see any of it. Had he not told me I would have never known. Fog of war on my own carrier strikes???

Only clue I had is one sunk ship in the sunk ship list.

This leads me to another bug. I'll get text messages of ships sinking, but then they are not shown in the sunk ship list??

the combat reports can get screwy if you are across patches when turns are sent, ie if you were on different versions of the game when a turn was done, you wont see the same results.

As for the second item on your list, this is FOW occuring, your pilots are repoting that the ship is sunk (hence showing on the scroll screen), but the ship is still floating. Also the intell screen sometimes doesnt pick up sunk ships untill they are confirmed sunk, which can take up to 60 days.

Ummm, where have you two been? The problem with sometimes MAJOR discrepancies in the combat reply file for the US player is the BIG KNOWN bug that is being worked on for the next patch. You two should browse the forum now and then.

Actually, I shouldn't have to browse the forums. There should be a sticky of BIG KNOWN bugs displayed prominently at the top of the support forum.
