Anyone noticed a problem with fighters/bombers being lost in campaigns?

Post by iconoclast107 »

I've just got into using the carriers a lot on my second time through the campaigns, and I've noticed that every fighter that gets launched during the course of my missions even though most are recovered before i end the mission appear to be lost completely. At first I thought it was some sort of maitnence thing, but throughout the rest of the campaign I would check back on the carriers and all that would be left is the LCA unit and about 5 fighters of the fighter wing that I didn't need to launch, all the stormhawks and bombers were gone since they were all deployed and in some cases more than once each during the missions to take out targets. Is it a bug or am I just doing something retarded? I try to wait until I recover everything that's capable of making it to the docking bay before i end the mission, but sometimes half of all my dudes get stuck in the waiting area behind the carrier cuz some jerk refuses to land or there's something wrong with the flight decks that repairing doesn't seem to fix, but everything gets lost regardless of recovery.
I like guns. Yeah, that is the best I can come up with...

Master is right: It's being addressed in the patch that should hopefully be released tomorrow.

In the meantime, just get in range of the carrier, hit ESC then 1 and hope there are no bad guys around.

Additionally, start your missions in the air. There's another bug (also slated to be squashed) that doesn't contribute your flight's score to the team campaign score if you launch from the carrier deck.

Gonzo, did you read iconoclast107's post? He is in control of the carrier!

Read posts before you reply them.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

It's the same bug either way.

Yep. It's just worse when you're controlling a Carrier. I had 2 2-hour sessions count for nought because I launched and recovered my entire fighter wing in both (over the course of the missions) , and the combined "losses" served to tip me into defeat. [;)]
@TheDeadlyShoe> Unless, say, you could make black holes at will.
@Razeam> I can do that but I don't want to.
