Stall speeds

Post by elmo3 »

I don't see stall speeds for fighters, in atmosphere of course, listed in the demo. Are they in the commercial version? No pilot in his right mind would take off without having the numbers memorized. Thanks.

It's not really a big deal since you don't fall very fast and can always just hit the afterburner for a sec, but it seems like it starts to stall when you get below a speed of 250.
I like guns. Yeah, that is the best I can come up with...

Stall is actually a function of angle of attack, not speed. Are you asking what the stall speed is for level flight? I don't think it is possible to fly that slow without turning off the engines. Keep yourself above 250 m/s and you should be fine.

Alpha at Onset of Stall for Alliance Fighters:

Code: Select all

Falcon 23 degrees
 Stormhawk 23 degrees
 Thunderbolt 19 degrees

Yes, angle of attack is the proper way to say it. Don't know why I said stall speed. Thanks.
