Multiple Installs Possible

Post by UdiHrant »

Despite the many bug reports flooding in I am about to buy this game via an internet download. After burning it to CD will I be technically and legally able to install it on 2 of my own PC's? Thanks.

Folk need to consider the number of 'bug reports' to the number of 'actual bugs', then compare that to how huge this game is and how much code is in there.

But I recomend you buy this game if you like these kind of strategic simulations...I am very impressed with this game.

As for the multiple machine issue, it is all in the agreement that you click yes to upon installation. IMHO, if the letter of the law is there because people donnot respect the spirit of the law. If you are the only person using this game, once it is installed, then I don't think Matrix would see anything wrong with it. Let your conscience be your guide.

Just my 2 cents.

I would agree.. This game is everything I ever hoped it would be and more.. Now there are parts I do not like and parts I wish were different, but overall I would recommend this game to anyone who asked... I love it.. I spend 3+ hrs (on average) a day playing it between work, life, wife and school.

As for multiple installs it would be the same as if you installed it at home AND on your laptop at work.. As long as only 1 is being used at any given time I don't think there is a problem with it.

There are alot of little bugs that will be worked out by the devs... although there are a couple such as the Audigy CTD bug that prevents some of us, even those of us with Uber-PC's, to play without the feared Crash to Desktop (CTD). This game is a breakthrough in PC wargaming and due to it's vastness there is bound to be some anomalies...such as the 31 ship Ai TF[X(] That's not a bug, it's a "glitch"[;)]. I would love to install Witp on another PC in my house...the only problem being my other internet ready PC also has an Audigy and i don't have my backup disc (19 days) to try Witp on the other two[8|]. Matrix always excels in the customer support area and Witp is fantastic, albeit quiet[8|], so if you have the time and the interest in this type of gaming you won't be sorry. Of course, if the CTD problem remains a mystery i may have to edit my post[:D]...again[8|]
