New version of the Production Excel sheet
New features included:
_ correction of ressources spelling to resources
But more seriously:
_ there is an "initial number" column and a "fill in" column, used by the formulas so you can do all the tests you want and then fill again the actual numbers.
_ two pages now list respectively Japanese and Allied areas with the output of each.
_ I have added the daily bonus some Allied bases have. I thought that fuel and supplies only arrives in USA and Karachi but in fact Bombay and one Soviet and two North China bases also receive supplies.
_ last feature, a column shows the initial stock of ressources and oil in a given area and the next column show how much day the area will produce before running out of ressources or oil, if the daily output is negative.

My results for Australia:
Australia industry will run 8 days at full potential, producing 63600 supplies and 31243 supplies. Then the local oil center and imported US from the USA (500 points a day) will enable to run 950 factories. Select them all in ports and Australia will produce daily 5990 supplies and 1388 fuel.
My advice is to bring as much oil you can from DEI (from Java for example, that will be less risky than from Borneo or Sumatra). Also there is 80000 oil in the USA (30000 of them in ports) that will not be used as the area produces more than its need, so you can ship all of it to Australia, this will allow 13 other days of full production.
My results for India:
Burma and India fiels create 1050 oil points and you have 615 HI in ports and 1690 inland, with a stock of 20000 oil in India. Turn down all inland HI except 500 points. So you will have a economy where the maximum fuel is created and that will last 308 days before the oil is exhausted and you have to reduce a little more.
Or you can turn down all inland HI and save oil for shipping to Australia (435 oil points each day). Australia has no daily supply or fuel arriving each day (Karachi and Bombay have 20000 supplies and 12000 fuel) and needs convoy. Rather than sending a ship with fuel, send her with oil. Australian factories will be able to use it to build fuel (1.33 more) and supplies, as ressources are widely available.

When an area is using more resources or oil than it is producing, the column delay shows how much day it will produce until the initial stock are gone and the factories will stop producing.
Ex: Indochina has 10000 oil at start (in Saigon) and the stock will be reduced by 330 each day. 10000 / 330 = 30 (rounded down), so HI here will produce during 30 days and then need some more oil.

My tests show that manpower output = manpower centers * 5, and that roughly 20% of it will be used with armament and vehicle production, so manpower pool rise by manpower centers * 4 each day, once the armament pool is empty.
But these things are rather hard to test as even when turning all ground units replacement off, my armament pool continue to fall... I just copied the manual here, so hope it's OK.

Turning off replacements will not turn off technology upgrades.
You've probably noticed that a large number of 47mm AT's are getting produced right off the bat to upgrade the 37mm.
To shut it down completely, go into the device table and change the availability dates on a bunch of the early stuff. That will give you a clean run.

Thanks Mr Frag, I had completly forgotten about the armament upgrades.
What is you point of view about manpower and armament production ? It seems to me that the model is flawed here and manpower production is far too strong or armament production far too low, the latter more probably as it is unable to cope with just the reinforcement coming in.

I think they couldn't cope the losses but at least they should be able to create new units in Japan.
I think it is flawed because the manpower generated is 6 time more than the needs... and Japan will never be able to build six time more armament. So two possibilities :
1) Armament factories produce more than 1 point per factory point each turn and that's OK. My model is wrong
2) Japan is generated thousand of youg men each day (1 manpower = 1 man by squad size) but 3000 of them only receive bamboo pole and train to repulse the American landings excepted in 1946....
As far as I know, only France begin WWII like that. 5 million French men were mobilized in September 1939 but once they were in basements the High Command realizes they were enough weapons and military equipment for 3 millions of them, so he sents 2 million back to factories (mainly) and fields.

AmiralLaurent - I have been playing with my own excell spreadsheet to help me manage my aircraft production and the formula you use on your formula sheet doesn't seem to be correct according to the manual. From my reading of the manual, a single engine aircraft will cost 18 HI (for its engine) plus 18 Hi (for its single engine airframe). That equals 36 HI. Your formula adds 18 to each aircraft produced? Why? Thanks!
