I also attacked San Marcelino and got repulsed. Same at Sian
I landed some troops on Guadalcanal via sub and its turning into a joke.. Rob has no one there - no surprise, but my sub loaded 1 squad, 1 AT gun and 1 mortar... The AT gun was damage during the landing and the unit could only perform a bombardment attack - I have no idea why... This turn Rob hit it with a single DD and now the entire unit is damaged and worthless.... pretty funny actually.
On the 19th I attacked again and did some good damage at Sian and should take it in a couple of days. I am bombing the hell out of San Marcelino and waiting for a few more troops before attacking again - hopefully it will make a difference...
Well this turn 1 sunk a TK with a sub - the poor TK taking 3 torps before exploding and sinking to the bottom. Geez, sure hope Rob NEEDED that fuel

Rob beat up my crippled Naval Guard unit again - and this time he lost more than it did AND he helped it retreat into a base at least 3 days faster than it would have normally - THANKS ROB !!
Have fun with the report..
