Banana AAR

Post by Nikademus »

NEWSFLASH

Tokyo, Japan. Dec 1941

Reports from Tokyo indicate that the new government led by Prime Minister Tojo has fallen, replaced by Luskan's
Banana.

The Banana issued this short statement:

"Screw conducting a long war of attrition with those lazy Yanks. Just say no to invading Kangeroo Kountry. I have the perfect plan for providing Japan with all the resources she'll ever need.

INVADE AMERICA

Its got supplies.

Its got resources..

Its got Oil.

And noone ever eats their proper servings of fruits and vegetables....subsisting instead on a diet of Coca Cola, hot dogs and hamburgers. What better place for a Banana to wage war?

As such, new orders were issued to the Emperor's forces......

The conquest of the United States will begin at San Francisco....land of really really big hills.

Ermarked for the invasion are the following Imperial units:

56th INF Division
18th INF Division
16th INF Division
48th INF Division
5th INF Division
65th Brigade
1st KURE SNLF

Supporting units

105th IJN Base force
23rd Aviation Regiment
3rd, Takaeo Datai's and the 50th FTR Sentai.

Various AK and TK units for logistical support.

Combined Fleet will initiate OPERATION: FRUITCAKE with a suprise attack on the US Pacific Fleet at Pearl Habor. KB will then rondevous with major elements of CF off off San Francisco and await our invaision force. Then we will move in and capture the country.

The Banana expects every soldier to die for him. Do not fail....or dont bother coming back!

Allied reaction

Post by Nikademus »

Well it would be obvious to even the most Western Pacific-centric Allied player by this time that Japan is "up to something" in America's backyard.

The question would be, "what" at this stage. Is it a raid? Hit and fade, Full blown invasion? Where are the carriers that so badly beat up the Pacific Fleet at Oahu? Are they nearby? Is this some elaborate scheme to draw out the USN Carriers that thankfully survived the sneak attack?

US Authorities are not sure what the Japanese plans are at this point and are trying to keep the recent recon info secret lest there be widescale panic all along the West Coast. Precautionary measures are being taken at this point. SF is being cleared of unnecessary shipping, being in closest proximity to the intruding forces. Air reinforcements have been moved in but so far the navy and army are taking a "wait and see" approach since an invasion could potentially strike anywhere!

Well, it's quite possible Banana has seized control of the US government at the same time, which means that the US carriers are probably approaching Tokyo right now.

Hehe, I'm looking forward to see how this one turns out. :)

OK.....the Allied player is no longer Puzzled.....he's PERPLEXED....and maybe sweating a little now....something BIG is going down in the Western Pacific.....panicked and excited reports are flooding in from the returning bomber pilots reporting dozens of warships sighted and attacked! (oh and they sank em too)

Also....one of our S-boats is missing......having reportedly torpedoed and sank a battleship.
