Karachi sets up an Auto Convoy to Darwin

I noticed it and have a save showing it moving from Karachi down to Tricomalee veering from it down to The Malachi Straits off Malaya then making a Big L turn to the Right around Singapore and heading to Pearl (refuel at) via Phillipines etc Geezzzz

Ending at Pearl.


Somehow it seems to me the auto convoy sysyem is buggy, it should NOT be creating such a path, come on now... why does it pick Pearl to refuel at? It seems its the pearl reful point that pulls it away, I'd think It would just go straigh down through indian ocean to Australia.

If it needs a refuel, then topping off at Columbo or Tricomalee then heading not between Malaya and Sumatra but out down in the open ocean..

Is by chance some hardcoded "routes" in game like in Old Pacwar game (which PCpaths showed) If so looks like needs tweeking.

Properly through an call to auto convoy to Darwin should start in USA and head south to refuel at say Sydney or Brisbane then head north up to Darwin.

As It Is I'm looking into setting up CS TF's with them on CS from Sanf to Pearl (Big one) then a bit smaller 2nd CS from Pearl down to Christmas or Palmyra, from There another separate a bit smaller CS to Suva, from Suva Small CS to Australian points...

Think It will work better then the it seems unintelligent auto convoy, by using a Big Cs fleet Sanf to Pearl lots of fuel/supplies, a bit smaller from there allows pearl to have a Plus balance as would Palmyra/Christmas and as Would Suva...

But I shouldn't need to do it that way, Ideally Karachi should only be coded to auto convoy in india and Malaya

Sydney should be making Auto Convoys to other Australian ports, NZ, and DEI

USA should be auto convoy fleets only to Central Pacific, To Sydney only in AUS (to keep Sydney filled) and Phillipines.

Allowing Auto convoy to me if it can pick Sanf or Karachi causes problems if the system sets up an convoy at karachi to way down in AUS or elsewhere, it then "refuels" at pearl causing problems...

I can email the save with the TF off coast of Karachi and its path..
