Good day. Well I decided to register here. :)

Anyway, Milo I sent a PM to you on HLP after you mentioned Silent Space in a thread that was later closed.

If I don't see a copy of Starshatter in stores over the next few weeks, I'll then order it online. The box art does seem pretty nice though.

I noticed in the demo credits that a good deal of the work was done by you, including the artwork and sound effects. Impressive, it seems you're a renaissance man ;)

Though I should probably do my homework and read up on the engine instead of asking questions, I'm wondering if Starshatter supports pixelshaders, etc. The demo mentions that it is using DirectX7 as the renderer on my system (despite having a Radeon 9800), so I'm guessing that's not the case.

One thing I was thinking when playing the game though: More loadout options would be nice. Being able to select primary weapons as well as special devices (electronics warfare, shielding, repair units, ammunition/fuel pods that sort of thing) would definately be a nice feature to have. Similarly as opposed to the FreeSpace style primary/secondary weapon system a firing chain setup like in the games Mechwarrior and StarSiege would be good, especially as a way to handle firing weapons on capital ships. (i.e. being able to turn on, off, or set a weapon to autofire with then the option to link weapons and have a few firing chains)

Anyway, I was just wondering if something like that was in the retail version or is planned in either an expansion or sequel.

My post didn't make sense...
@TheDeadlyShoe> Unless, say, you could make black holes at will.
@Razeam> I can do that but I don't want to.

That box with art is available in august. Right now CD is available on simple and cheap box. Patience man [:)]

Like most other Matrix games, Starshatter don't look very fancy and it don't even support all features of GeForce 256 (first in GeForce serie). This guarantee playability even with hardware of last millennia (I have personal experience about that). Of course if anisotrophic filtering and other like that are turned on in graphic adapter driver settings, it has some effect in the game.

Maybe in 4.1 or later. Patience man [:)]
Electronic warfare is already in. Check out EMCON thing in manual.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.
