what does this add up to in assualt value and what is the chineese oob? I have taken 3 bases in China (after pulling in about 1000 worth of assault from Kwangtung) and am unsure if I have the numbers to advance or just dig in. Most of the bases with HI look too deep to get to.

Assault value of units with 100% strenght:

Division 350-400
Brigade around 300

I used this OOB to dispatch garnisons in China (mainly dividing units, most towns needing garnisons of 70-80 are OK with 1/3 of a division) and then send the rest of them on the frontline, preparing an attack on the nearer Chinese city. I will wait to move.

In history, inland China was too hard for Japan to conquer... especially because they had to retire troops from here to send them in the Pacific.

Thanks for the info. As I thought I will be only able to grab the front line Chineese bases then dig in. If I can cut the Lido road can I starve them out?

China receives supplies from the Burma Road but also from Soviet Union (in the two bases in the N, this with the oil and the next one). And China economy is self sufficent, it has enough ressources and oil to work. But probably not enough HI to be a real danger = a base from wich Japan can be bombed.

These are all units that are under the actual command of the China Expeditionary force? Or are you including any Manchuoko units in the mix.

China Expeditionary Force troops only. Most of the Cav divisions start in Mandchoukuo but are under China command.
