Pause the game?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Pause the game?

Post by Six-pk »

I always played SP1/2/WW2 at 1.66 seconds for message delay. When unit fired I could hit the 'PAUSE' key to see the hit % etc.
Thats gone now... Does anybody know of a way to PAUSE SPWAW?

Thxs!

Not in the middle of the turn. I would like to see that added too. You can pause at the end of the turn by pressing the space bar for about 10 seconds.

As yet, I don't know a way to pause it during the turn... Paul?

Evidently quite a lot, Nic Image

Yes, when the turn ends and you have finished doing what you want to do or at the beginning of your turn, look at the button menu to the right.

Click on the little floppy disk icon. It will then ask you for a title and a slot to save the game.

I usually put T-7 Eaglemove as an example.

Then whenever I want, I go back and start up again.

Also, I always say in a campaign, first turn about 1/2 way through and last turn. Also if I decide to gamble I save.

I know...I know, not completely historical, but hey, I'm not the best tactician in the world. Anyone deserves another chance Image

Also if you are playing a secure pbem game and want to to come back later, hit the UP ARROW HEAD icon and it will save in midstream so you can come back and finish later.

Thx Paul!
But I'm talken about pauseing while you or the enemy are fireing. You (in SP1/2/WW2)could hit the pause key and STOP the game to read the hit box. Example like this; HIT CHANCE 34 PERCENT

Understood...we will see what we can do :-) Right now we are focusing on things that don't work as intended. Interface enhancements will have to wait a bit.
