Japanese Ships
SS RO-42, heavy damage

Allied Ships

CVL Cowpens
CV Essex
CV Wasp

Aircraft Attacking:
4 x J1N1-S Irving bombing at 2000 feet
4 x J1N1-S Irving bombing at 2000 feet
3 x J1N1-S Irving bombing at 2000 feet

i see my planes attacking the dead sub who somehow moved on the combat animation!

i will send a save to DoomedMantis.

What i don't understand is this: i take a save, move two sub, save the turn, press end Turn, i see the attack. But if i take the second save and just press End Turn, i don't see the attack anymore, so the saves are not really saves of the situation... something gets change.[:-]

I have the save, but I think from your explaination it looks like a FOW issue. The sub was reported as sunk even though it wasnt, so could show up later in the combat report. FOW measn that not all reported sinkings are actual sinkings, they dont count till they show up in the intel sunk ship list.

Ill check it out though from your save

cheers

In case you confused him more FOW= Fog of War if it is enabled...

All Reports you take with a Grain of salt if enabled

Excited Pilots sometimes claim to have shot down more planes then attacked like 20 Bettys attack, 40 bettys damaged/killed [:D]
Noise? What Noise? It's sooooo quiet and Peaceful!

This can also be a bleed over from another prvious combat report. There was another thread on multiple instances of this to include recon planes and and bombers from opposite sides being swallowed by the ocean with no air to air combat.

no no no, no FOW, in the Combat Animation i see the Japanese plane attack the Japanese sub + the US CV. The japanese sub don't attack the CV at all. The Japanese sub was really sunk (commander killed message and all and appear in the Ship Sunk list at location 63,65) in the other hex before this combat at 64,64 and wasn't moving at the time. Even if it was not sunk and healthy, in no way it could have travel this fast to this new hex.

Frag and I had a discussion about bleed over in combat reports and he was looking at it if he would like to comment on this one as well or if it fits in the category of the other ones I have seen.
