How do you make those cool little graphis in your profile??
Okay - I'm an idiot - I know...
But... how dooo you make those - Is there a graphics program that everyone is using to put thier own little notes on them ( allied fanboy, nip fanboy, H2O fanboy, ect... ) and where do you get it...
Also - I've found a few little jpg's that I like that I've tried to add to my profile photo - but it says the deminsions are too large.. how do I fix that??
So--- I have no idea how to make my profile look as great as everyone else...[:(]
BTW - WITP is GREAT!!!!

Diesel,
As far as what program they are using for the titles on thier jpg's, I can't say. I used Corel Photo House, but it doesn't do 3D lettering (at least in the version I use). In order to manipulate your graphic down to an acceptable size, whichever graphics program you use should have an option to resize the graphic either via inches, millimeters or pixels. Use the pixels option, select any "maintain aspect ratio" options (otherwise it will distort the image) and then resize the graphic down to 200 pixels or less. I resized my graphics down to just a tad under 200 pixels and it works just fine. Once it is resized, just use whatever graphics program you have to add your titles, pick a font and color you like and viola! It should work out just fine. What I did was I played around with a number of graphics, until I finally located one that "spoke out" and then I settled on it. I hope this helps!

Beware!
Use of Photoshop and its ilk can seriously eat up time you need for other things. Like WitP's "One More Turn" complex, graphic editing programs will have you making "One More Change".[:D]
Oh, and for those of you who keep posting your image as a file attachment, go to http://www.photobucket.com/ and get yourself a free image hosting account.[;)]

von Murrin;
I hardly think it is in good taste to glorify the Dihydrogen Monoxide industry and those that profit from it. What of the thousands that are killed or maimed every year by Dihydrogen Monoxide? I think we need to find a safer, more sustainable alterantive. A partial list of it's toxicities include:
1) Gaseous form....2nd or 3rd degree burns, visual loss
2) Solid form.....ischemic necrosis of the digits, eyeball injuries and "brain freeze"
3) liquid Form.....Severe, even fatal, impairment of exchange of respiratory gasses in the lungs, skin wrinkling and innumerable slip and fall injuries.
We need to find a safer, organic, alterantive. I hope a man of your talents will join our cause.

Too true! Altogether too true! Dihydrogen Monoxide was one of the most fearsome weapons encountered in the Pacific.[:'(]

Folks were getting creative with the "Fanboy" descriptor, so I thought I'd make a super quickie banner that was a bit on the far edge of the movement.[;)]

Well, ya done good - it's one of my favorites so far. My wife is a very talented graphic artist and a wiz with both Illustrator and Photoshop. When we get done with the current issue of our magazine, (we publish a real estate magazine for a living) I'm gonna have her make something up for me. [:)]

Another dumb question: what's the deal with the Allied Fanboy Club?

It is a made up name, just like the Japanese Fan Boy club. If you want to join the Allied Fan Boy club talk to Raverdave. [:D]
