What is the maximum size of a plane group?

I edited a Daitai to be size 81 but it only gets planes and pilots up to 50. Is that the maximum size of a group of planes? If so, why even have a max size value in the editor?

I did try a Hikotai after posting that but I've only run one turn so far. After that one turn it was still at 50.

Is the maximum number of planes for each size group posted somewhere? I would like to know if it is.

I've seen Allied groups get stuck at 50 planes when they should have more than that. Dividing the unit for a turn or two seems to fix it. There's a thread in the main forum where Pry says he's looking into this.
