Heads Up! History Channel Tuesday Evening

Interesting looking show coming on the History Channel Tuesday evening (July 27th). Tech Effect Pearl Harbor. Airs at 9 Pm EST. This one looks to compare the various technological advantages of each side at Pearl. Here's the link.

Easy comparison! The Japs have CGI Zeroes. funky ammunition loaders in white jumpsuits, a CGI battlefleet, and CGI AP bombs. Oh and a buncha admirals that look like they are meeting on the set of Ran.

The US has Ben Affleck in a CGI Spitfire during the BoB, a CGI P-40 during the attack on Pearl (which has the "secret weapon" of Affleck's blinding smile to cause Zero pilots to crash into each other), and in a B-25 during the Tokyo raid. Also has a non-CGI (but possibly ahem "enhanced") Liv Tylor [:D], and an "oops" pregnancy, possibly caused by an invisible Frodo.

All in all, it only needs 100,000 CGI Japanese clone/storm troopers and a Waffen SS version of Jar Jar Binks to have as many CGI effects as Revenge of the Sith. [:-]

You forgot the Perry frigates and the fatal game of aerial chicken. In fact, there can be no mounting of B-25's on carrier decks and no plucky raid to change the course of the war without chicken.

You are correct, they were Spruances. My husband served nearly 3 years on one, and seeing them in those scenes is the highlight of the movie for him. (Tells you what he thought about the rest of the movie![:)])
