turrets

Is there any way that I can make forward and aft facing turrets that only count as 1 weapon? If so, how?

The parameter
group: "Impactor",
in the weapons subsystem of the ship's DEF determines what "group" a weapon is in on the weapons console. Assign the same name to all weapons you want in the same group. For example, the Spectre-class destroyer has 2 PDBs assigned to the "FWD PDB" group, 2 PDBs assigned to the "AFT PDB" group, 4 X-Lasers assigned to the "X-Laser" group, and 2 Fusion Torpedo Launchers assigned to the "Torps" Group.

Note that only 4 weapon groups will be "visible" so that's your practical limit.

The group specified in a weapon's DEF is it's *default* group, if no group is defined manually in the ship def it will be in that group.

Hey, thedeadlyshoe,

what mod are you working on? or are you just a natural expert lol! I know meh(lol!) is working on freespace 2 but I dont think I know what you are.
