I'm finally able to post. Trying to be calm.
Can anyone please tell me how to define colision sounds for weapons.
I would really appreciate the help.

I dont think you can change those yet,

however, if you can, it would probably be in the ship def as some sort of override, like how you can over right the azimuth and elevation in the weapon defs in the ship def files


try stuf like hit_sound, or weapon_impact or something, in the weapon definition in the ship file

its a long shot tho

The only impact sounds you can change are for shields. The parameters are bolt_hit_sound and beam_hit_sound and they go in the shield structure for the ship that uses them, so you can't set sounds on a per-weapon basis. The beam_hit_sound is played every 400ms for as long the beam is in contact with the shield.

Yeah, I know. I don't know how that slipped through the cracks. There are also some stock sound effects that you can use, I believe. They're named "shield_hit1.wav" through "shield_hit5.wav". I know 5 is for beams and 4 for bolts, but I don't know about the rest.
