Staten Island, NY, August 3rd, 2004 - Matrix Games (www.matrixgames.com) will be present at the World Boardgaming Championships 2004 (http://www.boardgamers.org/#wbc) this year in Hunt Valley, Maryland from August 3rd through August 8th. We will be attending both as gamers and as vendors. If you want to play against us, show up early and seek us out. As the convention progresses, we will have both demo and sales areas. An amazing line-up of new game releases, demos and previews will be available for gamers to enjoy.

If you’re going to be there, you won’t want to miss us! We’re looking forward to meeting you, hearing your suggestions, discussing great moments in gaming and showing you what we have in the works for the rest of 2004! Of course, we will also have our full line of games in stock at our booth, including just released titles and will be happy to help you complete your collection.

On hand from Matrix Games will be the testing lead for the upcoming Gary Grigsby’s World At War, Maurice Buttazoni. Erik Rutins will be present to show and discuss the upcoming Battlefields! operational wargame. Also on hand from the Matrix Games staff to discuss any and all of our projects and answer your questions will be David Heath, and Ron Duquesnel.

We hope you will stop by if you are attending the World Boardgaming Championships 2004 or ask one of your friends who is to drop in and see what we have to show. It’s a great opportunity to meet us in person and see what Matrix Games is working on and what we have in store.

Why would Matrix go to a board gaming conference?

Shrapnel games went that way and their computer wargames are now hopeless! -

Joe,

Hey, we're all boardgamers too at Matrix. Before the computer, there was still wargaming. [;)]

Dave and Daniel went last year to WBC, had a great time, met great people and found that a lot of our fans also attend this convention. You may have noticed our adaptations of Empires in Arms, World in Flames, etc. [:)]

We will if possible setup the webcam for those eager to watch the stout staff in action. At the very least, we'll post some photos when we return.

Regards,

- Erik

WBC is a great convention and almost 100% dedicated to wargames and wargamers. Don Greenwood is the host of this convention and if his name does not ring a bell you should look at some of your old Avalon Hill games. If you are to young for that then you are truly missing something. I have my two sons Andrew and Nicholas here and they are enjoying it more then ever. The other reason we come here is for a little R&R. For the record Matrix will not be making any board games in the near future it is something we are interested in doing.

Hi Guys

We are back!!!!! MAN what a great con and God willing we will be attending next year as well. Everyone that came by to see us we want to thank you for stoping in. We had a blast with everyone. Its truly a great feeling when so many people tell you how great the games we publish are. I also want to thank our great line of developers and our staff for getting us were we are today.

Erik Rutins and myself got to play three tabletop wargames which I think we really needed. A D-Day card game which was pretty cool and two battles of Memoir 44 a really great game. Memoir 44 is a game and I would say to pick it up if you are looking for something fun and with just a enough historical flavor. Let me say this now before Erik gets a chance to post here.... I beat him in all three games..... hahahaha victory was mine.

Ok now its time to unpack the van and get some sleep for tomorrow.
