How does the program handle these little ships (LCVP,LCT) in this big ocean especially with bad weather?

I'm not sure whther it still occurs in WITP but in UV ships (of all types) would occasionally showed up on the sunk list without a cause being listed beside them. It was always presumed that this was caused by weather or other mishap.

So far in Witp I've only see two sunk ships show up as unknown, there were scuttled when China overran a base with two AG's in port!

In all honesty, a storm bringing down a ship - even a transport - must be extremely rare. It's the coastlines that kill ships, once out in the open you have to be very unlucky to get your boat sunk (flooding or killer waves)

I think The US only lost one DD sunk, although many were damaged, the USS Pittsburgh IIRC lost her entire bow!
