scenario 27

Post by Lemurs! »

Okay, i am done editing and would actually like to play a game.

I would like to start a game of my scenario 27, which is fictional. No, there are no F15's. Or Japanese jets.

This scenario is based on a real Japanese plan started in the early 30's. It supposes Japan did not follow the naval treaties on the Hiryu and Soryu so they are slightly bigger. Not much. No one else followed the treaties except Britain so not a big stretch.

It also supposes they scrapped or sold the 4 Fusos.

The Japanese buy the Vickers 15"/45cal weapon which they in real life actually paid Vickers to design.

They decides not to build the Yamatos.
Or the 18" gun. Or the special railroads, ships, etc to service the building. Or those huge drydocks.

In their place Japan builds 3 BB's & 3 BC's. The BB's are a little worse than the South Dakota. The BC's are a little better than the Kongo.
The Japanese start with 1 of each built. The other 4
are built over the next two years. If you choose to build them, remember while you are building them nothing else will get done.

Also, the Taiho enters 1 year early and a second Taiho enters when Taiho should have.

There are no Yamatos or Shinano.

There are no extra planes, ground units, pilots etc.

In case you are wondering this is not even close to full value; most people do not know how much the entire Yamato program cost. The estimate in Japan was that for the 4 Yamatos Japan could have built 2 fast BB's, 2 fast BC's & 4 Shokaku class carriers and their airgroups! Yikes!

Anyway, if you would like to be the allies in this give an email at masonsgild@charter.net

If you have anything you would like to add or subtract from this feel free to comment, suggest or ask.

I'd love to ... but I cannot do turns quickly. So unless it's 2 or 3 day turn cycles I guess it's a no no.
