What must I do to receive a CD???

Post by Tankerace »

Does the CD on Demand even exist? Or have I simply gone insane and convinced myself that a magical CD exists!? Or, does one exist? And if so, must I video tape myself doing a jig and acrobatics on top of my computer? Never in my life have I met with such service. I have bought games, software, books, and musical instruments online, and never, never had I ever had to wait over a month and STILL not get the product I paid for. Please, will someone tell me the magical button to press that makes them ship my order.

Sorry if I am cynical, but this goes beyond the point of ridiculous. The guys on the forum tell me 7-14 days, the guys on the site tell me 14-21 days, and its all snowballing out of control.

It exists. You have to be nice to the guy on the phone at DR, name your first born after him, pay him 300.00, hack off an arm, give 6 pints of blood to him.

Of course that is just to get your name added to the list. Not sure about getting it. Took 11 days to get mine, but the 4 July weekend threw my day count off.

it definitely exists - I have two cd's - only problem is that I was charged for two as well!
I only wanted one obviously.

now this is real fun. DR has a great sense of humor imho [:D] some receive 2 of the CD's while other gets a big zero.

yeah they're real funny - as all orders are final - and no refunds under any circumstances (their words), even when it's their fault the order was duplicated, I've emailed Matrix to see if they can get it sorted and me a refund...

I'm glad someone started this thread. I forgot that I had ordered a cd, it's been so long. I flushed those brain cells weeks ago. I just located my receipt and checked it. It's dated July 2nd. Are we required to take another step to receive the cd by somehow contacting DR or does it always take this long and I should just be patient(or forgetful) until it arrives?

Yes, I'm near Sacramento. It would really be a wonderful thing if I only had to deal with something one time. I think that a situation or item has been taken care of but I constantly have to go back and do it again because someone on the other end shouldn't be employed. I will do some research and try to figure out the next step.

I live in Oklahoma, and nothing has EVER taken this long. Not even when I ordered a 40lb Baritone Saxophone from Pennsylvania. That took 2 weeks.

your sure not alone out there. original order July 3. complain & told its being fixed - but no CD on the ole doorstep or mailbox yet. of course the credit card has been wacked. Looks like the first time in my life I'm gonna be disputing a charge on a credit card.

I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt to Matrix, after all they have been pretty darn good about the patches and upgrades to UV and no WitP.

But there sure seems there is a hard lack of commitment to customers having problems who have already been hit for cash, some more than once!! I can just imagine my reaction if I end being charged twice for a screw-up on that end. I suspect it would not be overly positive, and would sure pursue through whatever state agency would be interested.

As of now I would have to tell any prospective buyers to not.

Wait.... you are being charged for the additional CDs? I haven't checked my moms card (She bought the game for me), but if she gets charged twice (or more) because of this, then she is gonna tear a hunk out of somebody's butt. And I don't think it will be mine.

I don't think the CD delivery failures have anything to do with location . . . I have a nice view of Our Nation's Capitol where I live, and I have yet to receive the disk (ordered July 2nd).

Marc has been kind enough to intervene with DR twice now on my behalf, so I am confident that I will receive the disk -- someday.

In the meantime, I amuse myself by planning another sort of wargame . . .

I finally got mine on Monday. Ordered July 3, so what's that, 37 days? Only took one complaint, so I may have been one of the lucky ones. Of course I have not checked my credit card account to see if I got whacked twice.
